Introduction to standards:

GB/T 21782 "Powder coatings" is divided into 14 parts, this part is the 4th part of GB/T 21782. This part is published for the first time. This standard specifies a calculation method for the lower explosion limit of powder coatings. When calculating, it is necessary to be based on the total calorific value of the product measured by ISO 1928:1995, or based on the total calorific value of each component of the product. This part is equivalent to the international standard ISO8130-4:1992 "Powder coatings Part 4: Calculation of the lower explosion limit" (English version), including its technical corrigendum ISO8130-4:1992 TECHNICAL CORRIGENDUUM 1. 1 Scope
Powder coatings
GB/T21782.4—2008/ISO8130-4:1992 Part 4: Calculation of lower explosion limit
This part of CB/T21782 specifies a method for calculating the explosion limit of powder coatings, that is, the minimum concentration of powder coating dust in the air that can form an explosive mixture. The calculation is based on the total calorific value of the product measured by ISO1928:1995, or the total calorific value of each component of the base product.
In order to obtain reliable measurement data, a special instrument is required to determine the explosion index of combustible dust in the air. This method is used in It is described in ISO6184-1:1985. However, this instrument is not easy to obtain, and the method is very complicated. It not only requires professional knowledge, but also has a relatively high cost. Experience has shown that the lower explosion limit obtained by this calculation method is still satisfactory when applied in paint workplaces. Note 1: If it is a non-combustible powder paint such as vinyl chloride, this method can still obtain a lower explosion limit in air. Therefore, it can effectively avoid underestimation of any explosion hazard. Note 2: The calculation method used in this section is based on the following assumptions: a) The material should be a molecular dispersion; b) It should be a material that can be completely burned and can reach the highest oxidation state; c) The reaction should be adiabatic; d) When the minimum explosive concentration is reached in the air, the combustion temperature of the component is 1000°C. 2 Normative references

The following terms and definitions apply to this part. 3. 1
lower explosion limitlower explosion limit
The lower explosion limit refers to the concentration of powder coating in the mixture of powder coating and air below a certain value, and no flame explosion will occur. This concentration is the "lower explosion limit" and is expressed in grams per cubic meter. 4 SamplingbzxZ.net
Draw representative samples of the test product in accordance with the provisions of GB/T31862006. 5 Determination of gross calorific value
The gross calorific value H of the test product can be determined according to the method described in ISO1928:1995. Or, according to the requirements of Chapter 6 of this part, calculate the sum of the gross calorific values of the inter-combustible components of the product. 1
GB/T 21782.4—2008/1SO 8130-4: 19926 Calculation of the lower explosion limit
Calculate the gross calorific value H of the test product.
The total calorific value of each combustible component is multiplied by the mass fraction of the component in 1g of product, and the sum is calculated. The value H is obtained by formula (1)::
Where:
is the number of combustible components;
c\-the mass fraction of the i-th component;
II-the total calorific value of the i-th component, in joules per gram (J/g). The lower explosion limit C is calculated by formula (2):
Wu City;
C-the minimum concentration of powder coating explosion in air, in grams per cubic meter (g/m\); A-constant, equal to -2.5g/m;
band number, equal to 1.2 4×10J/m;
The total calorific value of powder coatings, in joules (J/g). H.—
The report results are rounded to the integer,
Test report
The test report shall include at least the following information:
a) All necessary details to identify the tested product; b)
Indicate the number of this part:
Test results specified in Chapter 6;
Any differences from the specified test methods; Test date.
