This standard replaces GB/T 10459-1989. This standard is a revision of GB/T 10459-1989 Broad Bean. This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, quality requirements and hygiene requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, labeling, and packaging, storage and transportation requirements of broad beans. This standard applies to the purchase, storage, transportation, processing and sale of commercial broad beans (Hudou, Fodou, Luohandou). The main technical differences between this standard and GB/T 10459-1989 are as follows: - Modification of the scope of application; - Modification of the referenced standards of the original standard; - Modification of the terms and definitions of the original standard; - Addition of terms and definitions of broad beans; - Modification of the classification; - Modification and adjustment of the quality indicators; - Addition of inspection rules and labeling. 1 Scope

According to the thousand-grain weight and skin color of broad beans, they can be divided into the following types: 4.1 Large milky white broad beans: The weight of the lower grain is more than 1100, and the seed coat is milky white for not less than 95% of the broad beans. 4.2 Large green broad beans: The weight of the thousand-grain weight is more than 1100, and the seed coat is not less than 95% of the broad beans. 4.3 Large purple broad beans: The weight of the grain is more than 1100g, and the seed coat is purple for not less than 95% of the broad beans. 4.4 Medium milky white broad beans: The weight of 1,000 grains is between 600g and 1100g, and the seed coat is milky white for not less than 95% of the broad beans. 4.5 Medium green broad beans: The weight of the grain is between 600g and 1100g, and the seed coat is green for not less than 95% of the broad beans. 4.6 Medium purple broad beans: The weight of the grain is between 600g and 1100g, and the seed coat is purple for not less than 95% of the broad beans. 4.7 Small milky white broad beans: The weight of 1,000 grains is less than 600g, and the seed coat is milky white for not less than 95% of the broad beans. 4.8 Small green broad beans: The weight of the grain is less than 600g, and the seed coat is green for not less than 95% of the broad beans. 4.9 Small purple broad beans: dry grain weight less than 600, and no less than 95% of the broad beans are purple seed coat. 4.10 Mixed broad beans: broad beans that do not meet the silkworm points specified in 4.1 to 4.0, 5 Quality requirements and hygiene requirements

7.3 Determination rules: The pure grain rate shall meet the requirements of the corresponding grade in Table 1, and other indicators shall be implemented in accordance with relevant national regulations. If the pure grain rate is lower than grade 3 and other indicators meet the requirements of this standard, it shall be determined as a substandard grade broad bean. 8 Labeling
8.1 The label of egg beans in pre-sale packaging shall comply with the provisions of GB 7718. 8.2 For non-retail silkworms, the name, category, grade, origin, harvest year and month of the product shall be indicated on the packaging or in the accompanying documents. 9 Packaging, storage and transportation
9.1 Packaging
Should meet the requirements of GB/T17109. The packaging should be clean, firm, and without damage. The seams should be tight and strong. There should be no leakage and no pollution or odor to the product.
9.2 Storage
Should be stored in a clean, dry, moisture-proof, insect-proof, rodent-proof, and odor-free warehouse. It should not be mixed with toxic and harmful substances or substances with high moisture content.
9.3 Transportation
