The revised text is equivalent to ISO105-E06:1989. According to GB/T1.1, the cover and title writing format are modified, the ISO foreword is adopted, the foreword is added, the additional instructions are cancelled, and their contents are incorporated into the foreword. This standard modifies GB5716-85 as follows: 1. The test water is changed to Grade 3 water. 2. The length unit is changed to mm. 3. The test report requirements shall be in accordance with ISO, and the description of the standard number and sample specification shall be added. This standard shall replace GB5716-85 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed by the China National Textile and Apparel Council. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Standardization Institute of the China National Textile and Apparel Council. The drafting units of this standard are the Standardization Institute of the China National Textile and Apparel Council, Shanghai Textile Standard and Metrology Institute, and Shanghai Wool and Linen Textile Science and Technology Research Institute. The main drafters of this standard are Lu Wenbao, Zhe, Zheng Zhijun, Qi Yamin, and Xu Jieshou. This standard was first issued in 1985. This standard is entrusted to the Standardization Institute of the China National Textile and Apparel Council for interpretation. GB/T5716-1997 ISO Foreword ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an international alliance of national standards organizations (ISO members). The preparation of international standards is usually completed by ISO technical committees. Members who are interested in projects established by technical committees have the right to participate in the committee. The palace and non-official international organizations can also participate in the work by contacting ISO. ISO maintains close links with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in all matters of electrotechnical standardization. Draft international standards adopted by the technical committee are circulated to the members for voting, and those that are approved by more than 75% are published as international standards. International Standard ISO105-E06 was prepared by ISO/TC38 Technical Committee Textiles. This third edition is a technical revision of the second edition, which cancels and replaces it (ISO105-E06:1987). ISO105 has been issued in 13 "parts". Each part is represented by a letter (such as: Part A) and the publication year is between 1978 and 1985. Each part consists of a series of "articles", represented by the corresponding letter and two digits (such as "Part A01"). These articles are now called "parts" and are published in separate volumes, but the original letters and numbers are retained. There is a complete table of contents in ISO105-A01. 1 Scope National Standard of the People's Republic of China Textiles 1 Colour fastness tests Colour fastness to alkali spotting Textiles-Tests forcolourfastness-Colourfastnessto spotting:AlkaliGB/T5716-1997 eqv1s0105-E06:1989 Replaces GB5716-85 This standard specifies a method to determine the ability of the colour of various types of textiles to resist dilute alkali solutions. 2 Referenced standards The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. GB250—1995 Grey scale for assessing color change (idt ISO105-A02:1993) GB/T6151-1997 General rules for color fastness tests for textiles (eqv ISO105-A01:1994) 3 Principle Drop a few drops of sodium carbonate solution on the sample and gently rub the surface with a glass rod to allow it to penetrate fully. Use the gray scale for color change to assess the color change of the sample. 4 Equipment and reagents 4.1 Pipette or dropper. 4.2 Round-headed glass rod. 4.3 Grey scale for assessing color change, in accordance with GB250. 4.4 Sodium carbonate solution, containing 100g of anhydrous sodium carbonate per liter of water (according to 4.5). 4.5 Grade 3 water (according to GB/T61511997,8.1). 5 Test Specimen 5.1 If the sample is a fabric, take a 40mm×100mm sample. 5.2 If the sample is a yarn, weave it into a fabric, take a 40mm×100mm sample, or make a parallel length of 100mm and a yarn bundle of about 5mm in diameter, and tie it tightly at both ends. 5.3 If the sample is loose fiber, take a sufficient amount and comb it into a thin layer of 40mmX100mm. 6 Operating Procedure 6.1 At room temperature, drop the specified sodium carbonate solution on the sample and gently rub the surface of the sample with a glass rod to make it penetrate and form an alkali spot with a diameter of about 20mm. For water-repellent fabrics, the amount of solution used should not exceed 0.5mL. 6.2 Hang the sample in air at room temperature to dry and remove the sodium carbonate residue. 6.3 Use the gray sample card (4.3) to evaluate the color change. Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on June 9, 1997, and implemented on December 1, 1997 Test report The test report should include the following parts: GB/T5716-1997 a) The number of this standard, i.e.: GB/T5716-1997; b) The specific specifications of the sample required; c) The degree of color change of the sample. GB/T5716-1997 Appendix A (Suggestive Appendix) Test conditions It is recommended to conduct the water spot color fastness test in accordance with GB/T5717-1997 "Textiles Color Fastness to Water Spots" at the same time, and use the color fastness test to determine that the color change of the sample is not caused by the effect of water alone.
