National Standard of the People's Republic of China Graphic symbols for controls ,indicators and telltalesfor motorcycles GB15365-94 This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO6727 "Road vehicles-Symbols for controls,indicators and telltales for motorcycles" (1981 edition) Subject content and scope of application This standard specifies the graphic symbols for controls,indicators,telltales and the color of light signal devices for motorcycles and mopeds. This standard applies to motorcycles and mopeds (hereinafter referred to as motorcycles). 2 General provisions 2.1 Graphic symbols shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 3 of this standard. 2.2 The layout of graphic symbols and telltales shall be easy for the driver to observe and identify in the normal operating position. 2.3 The contrast between the symbols on the controls and telltales and their background color shall be clear. 2.4 Graphic symbols should be placed on or near the controls, indicators and signal devices that need to be identified.
