Chemical Industry Standard of the People's Republic of China
HG/T2765.3—1996
Published on January 24, 1996
Microsphere silica gel
Implemented on January 1, 1997
Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China
WHG/T2765.3—1996
The superior product index in this standard is not equivalent to the Russian national standard rOCT3956—76 (91), and the superior product technical index is better than FOCT3956—76 (91).
The main technical differences between this standard and rOCT3956—76 (91) are as follows: 1 This standard divides microsphere silica gel into two models, I and I, according to the range of specific surface area, and sets superior and first-class products. 2 The adsorption index of RH=100% is changed to pore volume. 3 Added two indicators, abrasion rate and specific surface area, which were formulated according to the actual domestic situation. The important technical content changes of GB/T7821-87 in this standard are as follows: 1 Added the specific surface area indicator.
2 Cancelled the upper and lower limit indicators of the particle size of the superior products and replaced them with the corresponding particle size qualified rate. 3 Changed the water absorption index to be expressed in pore volume. HG/T2765 is divided into the following independent parts under the general title of "Silica Gel": HG/T2765.1
HG/T 2765.2
Silica Gel Fine Pore Silica Gel
HG/T2765.3
HG/T2765.4
Coarse Pore Silica Gel

Silica Gel Test Method
From the date of entry into force of this standard, GB/T7821-87 will be invalidated at the same time. This standard is proposed by the Technical Supervision Department of the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Tianjin Chemical Research Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry. The drafting units of this standard are: Qingdao Ocean Chemical Group Corporation, Chongqing Dongfeng Chemical Plant, and Tianjin Chemical Research Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry. The main drafters of this standard are: Wang Ninghua, Hu Ximei, Fan Guoqiang, Jiang Junhua, Du Jian. 1

Microsphere silica gel
HG/T2765.3—1996
This standard specifies the requirements, sampling, test methods, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of microsphere silica gel. This standard applies to microsphere silica gel made from sulfuric acid and sodium sulfate. Microsphere silica gel is mainly used as catalyst carrier and catalyst, etc. Molecular formula: SiO2·nH20

3 Product classification
This standard divides microsphere silica gel into the following two types: Type I: The range of specific surface area is 300 to 450; Type 1: The range of specific surface area is 450 to 600.4 Requirements
4.1 Appearance: Microsphere silica gel is white glassy transparent spherical particles. 4.2 Microsphere silica gel should meet the requirements of Table 1.

5.2 Determine the number of sampling units in accordance with the provisions of 6.6 of GB/T6678. Use a sampler to take samples from the upper, middle and lower parts of the package. Mix the samples evenly. Use the quartering method to reduce to about 500g, immediately put into two clean, dry wide-mouth bottles and seal them. Paste labels on the bottles, indicating the manufacturer name, product name, model, grade, batch number, sampling date and name of the sampler. One bottle is used as a laboratory sample, and the other bottle is kept for three months for reference.
5.3 If one of the test results does not meet the requirements of this standard, it should be re-sampled from twice the amount of packaging for verification. Even if only one of the test results does not meet the requirements of this standard, the entire batch of products is unqualified. 6 Test method
6.1 All 6 index items specified in this standard are type inspection items. Among them, the particle size qualification rate, abrasion rate, bulk density, pore volume, and heating loss are routine test items and should be tested batch by batch. Under normal production conditions, type tests should be carried out at least once every three months. 6.2 Use the rounded value comparison method specified in 5.2 of GB/T1250 to determine whether the test results meet the standards. 6.3 Determination of particle size qualification rate
According to Chapter 3 of HG/T2765.5.
6.4 Determination of abrasion rate
According to 4.2 of HG/T2765.5.
6.5 Determination of bulk density
According to Chapter 5 of HG/T2765.5.
6.6 Determination of pore volume
According to Chapter 7 of HG/T2765.5.
6.7 Determination of specific surface area
According to Chapter 13 of HG/T2765.5.

7 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage
HG/T2765.3—1996
7.1 The packaging of microsphere silica gel should be firmly and clearly marked, including the manufacturer's name, address, product name, trademark, model, grade, net weight, batch number or production date, the number of this standard and the "handle with care" mark and "afraid of moisture" mark specified in GB191. 7.2 Each batch of products shipped from the factory should have a quality certificate. The content includes the manufacturer's name, address, product name, trademark, specification, grade, net weight, batch number or production date, proof that the product quality meets this standard and the number of this standard. 7.3 Microsphere silica gel is double-layered. The inner bag is a polyethylene film bag with a thickness of not less than 0.1mm. The outer bag is a plastic woven bag (select the corresponding model according to the provisions of GB/T8946). Each batch of packaging materials should be sampled and inspected, and its performance and inspection methods should comply with the provisions of GB/T8946. The net weight of each bag is 20kg, 25kg, 50kg or 100kg. Special packaging is agreed upon by both parties. 7.4 The inner bag of the package is sealed with two ties or heat seals to ensure a tight seal. The outer bag is sewn with a sewing machine with a stitch length of no more than 7-12mm. The stitches are neat and uniform, without leaking seams or skipping stitches. 7.5 Microsphere silica gel products should be kept away from moisture during transportation, and the packaging bags should be handled with care to avoid damage. 7.6 Microsphere silica gel products should be stored in a ventilated and dry warehouse to avoid moisture and mixing with volatile substances. 3
