4 Test method
4.1 Test conditions

4.2 Test steps
Use the square box device (3.1). Release the test insects (50 houseflies, 50 mosquitoes, or 30 crickets) into the square box through the insect release hole. , plug the holes for releasing insects. Calculate the amount of medicine required for the test according to the recommended amount of the drug to be tested. After applying the medicine within 3.1 according to the method recommended in the instructions for use, immediately close the box door, seal it, and start timing. Record the number of knocked-down test insects for mosquitoes and flies at regular intervals. After 30 minutes, move the knocked-down mosquitoes, flies or all the test insects to a clean insect cage (the mosquitoes and flies that have not been knocked down will not be recovered and will be counted as live insects), and resume standard feeding (mosquitoes and flies should be fed with cotton balls soaked in 5% sugar water, and crabs should be fed with mixed feed blocks and soaked cotton balls). Check the number of dead insects at 24 hours (72 hours for crab whips). The test should be repeated three times or more. At the end of each test, the cage should be cleaned. The repeated test data are calculated by linear weighted regression method to calculate KT50, toxicity regression equation, and 24h (72h for Dong Tang) mortality rate is calculated according to formula (1), and the result is retained to 2 decimal places.
