Preparation Instructions
This specification is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the State Planning Commission's Document No. 1984305, and is jointly prepared by the Shenyang Fire Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security, Beijing Architectural Design Institute, Beijing Public Security Bureau Fire Brigade, China Construction Southwest Design Institute and the State-owned No. 262 Factory of the Ministry of Nuclear Industry.
During the preparation process, the specification preparation group followed the relevant principles and policies of national infrastructure construction and the fire protection work principle of "prevention first, prevention and control combined", conducted extensive research, carefully summarized the practical experience of engineering design and application of automatic fire alarm systems in my country, absorbed the effective scientific research results in this regard, referred to relevant foreign standards and specifications, carried out necessary test verification work, and solicited opinions from design, scientific research, colleges and universities, production, use and public security fire protection units in provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and relevant ministries and commissions across the country. Finally, the draft was finalized by the relevant departments. This specification is divided into eight chapters and five appendices. Its main contents include: general principles, division of alarm areas and detection areas, system design, fire control room, equipment selection, setting of fire detectors and manual fire alarm buttons, system power supply, wiring, etc. In the process of implementing this specification, all units should pay attention to accumulating information and summarizing experience. Chapter 1 General

Division of alarm area and detection area
Article 2.0.1 The alarm area shall be divided according to fire partitions or floors. An alarm area should be composed of one fire partition or several fire partitions on the same floor. Article 2.0.2 The detection area shall be divided according to independent rooms (suites). The area of ​​a detection area should not exceed 500m2. Rooms whose interior can be clearly seen from the main entrance and exit and whose area does not exceed 1000m2 can also be divided into a detection area. Chapter III System Design
Section I General Provisions
Article 3.1.1 The installation of automatic fire alarm systems for industrial and civil buildings shall comply with the provisions of the current national building design fire protection specifications. Article 3.1.2 The automatic fire alarm system shall have both automatic and manual triggering devices.
Article 3.1.3 The equipment of the automatic fire alarm system shall be selected from products that have been inspected and qualified by the relevant national product quality supervision and inspection units. Section II System Form and Equipment Arrangement
Article 3.2.1 The automatic fire alarm system can choose the following three basic forms: 1. Regional alarm system;
2. Centralized alarm system;
3. Control center alarm system.
Article 3.2.2 The design of the regional alarm system shall meet the following requirements; 1. One regional alarm controller shall be set for each alarm area, and there shall be no more than three regional alarm controllers in the system:

When one regional alarm controller is used to guard several floors, a light display device for identifying the floor shall be installed at a conspicuous position at each staircase entrance on each floor. 3.
