Introduction to standards:

This standard replaces GB/T16266-1996 "Contact Corrosion Test Methods for Packaging Materials". This standard specifies the test method for corrosion of metal surfaces in close contact with packaging materials. This standard is applicable to contact corrosion tests of packaging materials in close contact with steel and aluminum surfaces. Compared with GB/T16266-1996, the main changes in this standard are as follows: --- Modified the temperature stability parameters of the drying oven; --- Added specific standard requirements for drying ovens; --- Modified the test piece cleaning procedures and cleaning media; --- Added requirements and instructions for the placement method of granules and bagged samples; --- Cancelled the distinction between the pressure surface and the non-pressure surface of the original standard and made modifications; --- Cancelled the evaluation results and changed to determine whether the sample corrodes the test piece surface; --- Added requirements for the description of the observed phenomenon. 3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3. 1
Corrosion
Deterioration of the material caused by the reaction of metal or material with the environment. This deterioration is usually caused by oxidation, acid or alkali, electrochemical and other effects. In the test, as long as there is a visible change on the surface of the test piece, such as rust, pitting or the formation of loose or granular products, it is considered to be corrosion.
Stain
Only a color change occurs on the test surface without rust, pitting or surface deterioration. Discoloration is not considered corrosion in this test. 3.3
Test surface
The surface of the material that has been specially processed for checking the corrosion condition after the test. 4 Test instruments and materials

5 Preparation of test pieces and samples
5.1 Grinding and cleaning of metal test pieces
Grind the processed steel and aluminum test pieces with 240 sandpaper in a direction parallel to the long side of the test piece. There shall be no pits, scratches or rust on the test surface. Then, they shall be decontaminated in three evaporators containing anhydrous ethanol. When cleaning, use a forge to hold absorbent cotton or gauze to scrub, then blow dry with hot air, and put it in a dryer containing fine-porous silica gel for use. After cleaning, do not touch the clean test piece with bare hands. The test piece prepared after grinding and cleaning should not be stored for more than 8 hours, otherwise it should be re-grinded and cleaned. 5.2 Specimens
Select the sample that is less than three turns away from the outer roll of the coil or the fourth sheet from the top of the flat plate, and cut it at least 100mm away from the edge. 5.2.1 Flexible materials
Select three pieces of 75mm×50mmrm material from different parts according to the curling direction. The surface of the sample should be flat, without holes, wrinkles, oil stains, deterioration, etc.
5.2.2 Hard materials
For harder or blocky materials, such as linings and plywood, select the flat surface of the material, with a size of 75mmX50mm, and the number is three pieces.
5.2.3 Granular materials
For granular materials, the sample should be 20g and ground to the size that can pass through a 40-mesh standard sieve but not through an 80-mesh standard sieve. For bagged materials, such as desiccants, the sample should be a minimum unit of the bagged material. 5.2.4 Sample pretreatment
Except for granular or bagged materials and packaging materials that cannot be cleaned, for soft or hard packaging materials, use one pair of tweezers to hold the sample and another pair of tweezers to hold the gauze, scrub it twice with anhydrous ethanol, and then blow it dry with cold air (or warm air below 60°C). The cleaned packaging material sample is placed in an environment with a temperature of 25°C ± 2°C and a relative humidity of 50% ± 3% for 24 hours. It is forbidden to touch the cleaned sample with bare hands. The packaging material sample should be flat. If necessary, a 75mm×75mm glass sheet can be pressed during pretreatment, and then a rectangular steel block for fixing can be pressed on it.
5.3 Cleaning of glass slides and rectangular steel blocks
Before use, glass slides and rectangular steel blocks should be cleaned twice with anhydrous ethanol, blown with hot air, and then placed in a dryer for standby use. After cleaning, bare contact with glass slides and rectangular steel blocks is prohibited.
6 Test procedure
GB/T162662008
6.1 Place three packaging material samples that have been cleaned and pre-treated according to 5.2.4 on the middle of three metal test pieces, and select the part that contacts the metal according to the actual use. For aluminum-plastic cloth composite materials, the plastic surface should be in contact with the gold mesh. For vapor phase anti-rust paper, the side coated with vapor phase corrosion inhibitor should be in contact with the metal. Press a clean and non-corrosive glass slide in the middle of each packaging material sample, and then press a rectangular steel block to fix it. The direction of the glass slide and the steel block is perpendicular to the long direction of the metal test piece (see Figure 1 and Figure 2 for details). Drum material sample

6.2 For granular samples, they should be evenly placed in the middle of two parallel lines 25mm away from the center line of the test surface of the test piece. Cover with a glass sheet, and then place a rectangular steel block on the glass sheet. 6.3 For bagged granular samples, they should be placed in the center of the test piece surface, and ensure that there is at least 50mm×50mm uncovered surface on the test piece surface. If necessary, prepare a large clean glass sheet to support the excess part of the test piece and bagged sample. 6.4 Place the three groups of test pieces assembled above in a desiccator with a diameter of about 320mtm, preheat at 49℃±2℃ for 30min, then take them out and immediately put them in a desiccator preheated at 49℃±2℃ with 300mL of 69% glycerol aqueous solution at the bottom, apply a small amount of vacuum sealing oil on the ground mouth, cover with a lid, and fix the lid at three places with medical tape, and then put it in a dry box at 49℃±2℃. At this time, the relative humidity in the desiccator is 65%±3%. The placement time for steel test pieces is 20 hours, and the placement time for aluminum test pieces is 72 hours. 6.5 After the test, remove the sample from the test piece surface and immediately check whether there are any signs of corrosion on the test piece surface. Record whether the covered and uncovered surfaces of the sample have corrosion, and describe the severity and distribution of corrosion. GB/T 16266—2008
