GB/T 8733--2000 This standard is a revision of GB/T8733--1988 "Casting Aluminum Alloy Ingots" and GB/T8734--1988 "Casting Aluminum Silicon Alloy Ingots" based on the development of production and use of domestic cast aluminum alloy ingots in recent years. This standard changes the brand representation method of the original standard. The brand is composed of "B\ and the chemical element symbol of the base metal, the symbol of the main alloy chemical element and the number indicating the mass fraction of the alloying element plus \D\ (the one followed by \A" is a high-quality alloy ingot). In this way, the brand representation method of cast aluminum alloy ingots in my country is consistent with the brand representation method of domestic corresponding standards, and is also basically consistent with the more common methods internationally. This standard includes 35 brands, retaining 20 brands in GB/T8733-1988 and adding 15 new brands (including 7 new brands of aluminum ingots for die casting). Cancel the two grades ZILD103 and ZLD202 in GB/T8733-1988. 7.AISiD-0 in GB/T8734-1988 is included in the standard of "Aluminum Master Alloy Ingot". Among the newly added grades, except YI.D117, the rest have been finalized and produced in China. This standard will replace GB/T8733-1988 and GB/T8734-1988 from the date of implementation. The old grades can continue to be used during the transition period, but the new technical documents should use the new grades. This standard is proposed by the State Bureau of Nonferrous Metals Industry. This standard is under the jurisdiction of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Standard Metrology and Quality Research Institute. This standard was drafted by Nanjing Ferroalloy Factory (Nanjing Copper and Aluminum Material General). The main drafters of this standard are Cheng Jianhua, Wu Ning, Li Gongqin, Xiong Yi, and Bao Yilin. 278 1 Scope National Standard of the People's Republic of China Aluminum alloy ingots for casting Aluminum alloy ingots for castingGB/T8733--2000 Replaces GB/T8733 G13/T87341988 This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules and packaging, marking, transportation and storage of cast aluminum alloy ingots. However, slight slag inclusions and trimming marks or slight cracks caused by casting shrinkage are allowed. 3.6 The fracture of the ingot shall be dense, and serious shrinkage cavities, slag and inclusions are not allowed. 3.7 When the purchaser has special requirements for the chemical composition, shape and specifications of the ingot, the supply and demand parties shall agree on it separately. 4 Test methods 4.1 The analysis method of the chemical composition of the ingot can be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T6987.1~6987.24 or GB/T7999, and the arbitration analysis method of the chemical composition shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T6987.1~6987.24. 4.2 The determination of the analysis value shall be made by the rounding comparison method. The rounding of the value shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant provisions of GB/T8170. The rounding digits shall be consistent with the limit values listed in Table 1 and Table 2. 4.3 The surface and fracture structure of the ingot shall be inspected by visual method. 4.4 When low-power inspection of ingot pinholes is required, it may be carried out in accordance with the provisions of JB/T7946.3. Approved by the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision on June 9, 2000 and implemented on July 1, 2000 5 Inspection rules 5.1 Inspection and acceptance GB/T 8733—2000 5.1.1 The ingots shall be inspected by the supplier’s technical supervision department to ensure that the product quality complies with the provisions of this standard and fill in the quality certificate. 5.1.2 The purchaser shall inspect the received products in accordance with the provisions of this standard. If the inspection results do not comply with the provisions of this standard, the purchaser shall submit the matter to the supplier within 2 months from the date of receipt of the product and the two parties shall negotiate to resolve the issue. If arbitration is required, the supply and demand parties shall jointly take samples at the purchaser’s side. 5.2 Batches Products shall be submitted for inspection in batches, and each batch shall consist of alloys of the same grade and smelted in the same furnace. With the agreement of the supply and demand parties, it may also consist of alloys smelted in two or more furnaces, but the batch weight shall not exceed 5000kg. 5 .3 Inspection Items Each furnace (batch) of alloy ingots shall be inspected for chemical composition, fracture structure and surface quality. 5.4 Sampling and Sample Preparation 5.4.1 The sample for arbitration analysis shall be randomly selected from one ingot of the batch of ingots and three points drilled diagonally on its surface (the first point is in the middle, and the other two points are 120mm away from the end points of the diagonal line, and the drilling depth is 2/3 of the ingot thickness). The obtained alloy chips shall be mixed evenly. 5.4.2 The sample for fracture inspection shall be randomly selected from one ingot of the batch of ingots and cut from the bottom to a point not more than 1/3 of the ingot thickness at 1/4 of the ingot length opposite to the pouring gate. 5.4.3 The sample for spectral analysis shall be prepared in accordance with the specifications of GB/T7999. 5.5 Determination of test results When the test results of chemical composition and fracture structure do not meet the requirements of this standard, double samples shall be taken for retesting of the items that do not meet the requirements of this standard in the batch of products. If there are still results that do not meet the requirements of this standard after retesting, the batch of products shall be comprehensively judged as unqualified. When the surface quality of the ingot does not meet the requirements of Article 3.5 of this standard, the ingot shall be unqualified. 6 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage and quality certificate 6.1 Marking The alloy grade (or code) and furnace number shall be clearly marked on the surface of the ingot. 6.2 Packaging, transportation, storage 6.2.1 The stacking should be neat. 6.2.2 The ingots shall be bundled in the form of ~# shape. 6.2.3 Ingots can also be supplied in bulk according to the agreement between the supplier and the buyer. 6.2.4 The selected steel straps for bundling should be selected according to the relevant models of YB/T025. 6.2.5 Ingots should be stacked, stored and transported according to the brand, and no mixing is allowed. And pay attention to rain, moisture and corrosion protection. 6.3 Quality Certificate Each batch of products should be accompanied by a quality certificate, indicating: a) Name of the supplier; b) Product name, brand (or code) and registered trademark; c) Quality inspection and analysis results and inspection stamp of the technical supervision department; d) Batch number or furnace number; e) Net weight and number of pieces; () Number of this standard: g) Date of publication.
