According to the requirements of the State Planning Commission's Document No. Jizong [1986] 2630 and Document No. Jizong [1987] 2390, ten standards including "General Specifications for Construction and Acceptance of Mechanical Equipment Installation Engineering" jointly revised by the former Ministry of Machinery Industry and relevant departments have been reviewed by relevant departments. The following standards are now approved as mandatory national standards and will be implemented from December 1, 1998. This specification is based on the requirements of the National Planning Commission's Jizong (1986) No. 450 Annex 21, edited by the former Ministry of Machinery Industry, and revised by the Machinery Industry Ministry's Machinery Installation Engineering Standards and Quotation Station in conjunction with China Machinery Industry Installation Corporation, Shanghai Industrial Boiler Research Institute, China Machinery Industry Second Installation Engineering Company and other relevant units to comprehensively revise the original "Mechanical Equipment Installation Engineering Construction and Acceptance Specification" (TJ231 (VI) 178). During the revision process, the revision team conducted extensive investigations and studies, carefully summarized the experience of the original specification since its implementation, absorbed some scientific research results of industrial boilers, and widely solicited opinions from relevant units across the country. After repeated discussions and revisions, it was finally reviewed and finalized by our ministry in conjunction with relevant departments.
This specification includes ten chapters and one appendix. The main contents of this revision are: 1. This revision includes the installation of fixed hot water boilers assembled on site into this specification, and clarifies that boilers shipped as a whole can be implemented in accordance with this specification, expanding the scope of application of the specification.
2. It is clarified that the expansion ends of the pipes that have not been annealed should be annealed, and when the hardness of the pipe ends is less than the hardness of the pipe holes, annealing is not required.
3. Supplementary provisions are made on the method of controlling the expansion rate, the provisions of the outer diameter control method are added, and the value of the expansion rate is modified. 4. In coordination with the current national standards and combined with years of construction experience, the relevant contents of the water pressure test have been revised.
5. Some construction methods and construction processes that ensure construction quality have been affirmed, and some relatively backward construction methods and construction processes have been eliminated accordingly. 6. The trial operation time of industrial boilers has been modified, such as: boilers assembled on site can run continuously with load for 48 hours, and boilers shipped as a whole are generally 4 to 24 hours. 7. Chapter I General
Article 1.0.1 This specification is formulated to ensure the construction quality of industrial boiler and hot water boiler installation projects and promote the advancement of their installation technology. Article 1.0.2 This specification is applicable to the installation of fixed steam boilers and fixed pressure hot water boilers assembled on site with water as the medium and a rated working pressure not exceeding 2.5MPa. For boilers shipped as a whole, the relevant provisions of this specification may be implemented. This specification does not apply to the installation of cast iron boilers, boilers on transportation vehicles and ships, electric heating boilers and nuclear boilers.
Article 1.0.3 The construction unit installing the boiler must hold a boiler installation license issued by the provincial labor department that is consistent with the boiler level installation type. Article 1.0.4 Before and during the installation of the boiler, if quality problems that affect safe use are found in the pressure-bearing parts, the installation must be stopped. Article 1.0.5

Article 2.0.3 The marking of the boiler foundation should meet the following requirements: 1. The longitudinal and transverse center lines should be perpendicular to each other. 2. The allowable deviation of the spacing between the corresponding two column positioning center lines is ±2mm. 3. Article 3.0.2 When installing the steel frame, it is advisable to first determine and mark the 1m elevation line on the column according to the elevation of the bracket and column head on the column. When aligning the column, the 1m elevation line on each column shall be determined according to the elevation reference point on the operation layer of the plant. The 1m elevation line on the column shall be used as the reference elevation for the subsequent installation of boiler components and parts and testing. Measure the height of any column supporting the boiler shell, and then use a level to measure the height of other columns. Measure at the 1m elevation of the column foot and the column head. Measure at both ends of the column. When there is a grouting layer between the bottom plate of the column foot and the foundation surface, its thickness should not be less than 50mm.
