Some standard content:

National Standard of the People's Republic of China
Method for the determination ofresistance to oil of pigments
Method for the determination ofresistance to oil of pigmentsThis standard is a general test method for pigments, used to determine the oil resistance of pigments. 1 Definition
UDC 667.622
:667.613.5
GB 5211.8—85
When pigments come into contact with oil, some pigments are slightly soluble in oil, which will cause oil staining. The oil resistance of pigments refers to the performance of pigments in resisting the dissolution of oil and causing oil staining.
2 Materials and instruments and equipment
2.1 Refined linseed oil: The color is measured by an iron diamond colorimeter according to GB1722-79 "Color determination method for varnish, clear oil and thinner", not more than 9, the viscosity is measured by a Tu-4 viscometer at 25℃, 24-28s, the acid value is 3-4mgK0H/g, and the specific gravity is less than 0.932. 2.2 Balance: Sensitivity is 0.001g.
2.3 Syringe: Capacity is 1 ml.
2.4 Blender: Made of medium carbon steel or spring steel, 178mm long, 18mm wide at the widest point, and 7mm wide at the narrowest point. 2.5 Flat grinder: PM-240.
Filter paper: Fast, should comply with the provisions of GB1915-80 "Qualitative filter paper". Gray grading card for staining: Use the gray grading card for staining of GB251-84 "Gray Scale for Evaluating Staining". 3 Determination steps
" Parallel tests are required.
3.1 Preparation of color paste
Weigh 0.2g of pigment sample, accurate to 0.001g, extract refined linseed oil (2.1) with a syringe (2.3) at room temperature according to the provisions of the table below, and grind into a paste according to Chapter 2, Article 2 "Preparation of pigment color paste" of GB1864-80 "Color determination of pigments". Inorganic pigments
Color lake pigments
Organic pigments
3.2 Preparation of test sample
Amount of oil, ml
Number of grindings per time
Number of grindings
Put all the color paste in the center of the filter paper (2.6). When the distance from the edge of the color paste to the outer edge of the leakage circle is 2cm, cut off the color paste part and the rating can be done.
3.3 Air self-test
Drop 2 drops of refined linseed oil (2.1) on the filter paper (2.6) for rating comparison. Issued by the National Bureau of Standards on July 16, 1985
Implemented on March 1, 1986
3.4 Evaluation of staining level
GB 5211.8—85
Place the filter paper with the seepage ring (3.2) and the blank test filter paper (3.3) on the filter paper (2.6). Under natural light facing north, with the incident light at a 45° angle to the object being observed and the observation direction perpendicular to the surface of the object being observed, evaluate the staining level of the seepage ring by yourself against the staining gray grading card (2.7).
3.5 Parallel test results
The levels obtained from parallel tests should be the same.
4 Expression of results
The evaluated staining level is directly used to indicate the oil resistance of the pigment, with the best being level 5 and the worst being level 1. The staining level is between: 4~5, 3 ~4, 2~3, 1~2. 5 Test report
The test report should include the following contents:
a: Type and name of the test sample;
b. Oil resistance level of the obtained pigment;
c. Abnormal phenomena occurred during the test;
d. Test date and test personnel.
Additional remarks:
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China and is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Paints and Pigments. This standard was drafted by the Working Group 51 of the Technical Committee for Standardization of Pigment Testing Methods. The main drafters of this standard are Yang Xiaoping and Zhao Xuan. 119.
